As most know, October is Breast Cancer awareness month. There are many charities out there that support breast cancer awareness and early detection. I just wanted to take a moment to point out a few.
Fashion Targets Breast Cancer® (FTBC), a charitable initiative of the Council of Fashion Designers of America/CFDA Foundation, marshals the goodwill and services of every element of the fashion industry (including fashion designers in the U.S. and internationally, leading retailers, the world’s most famous models and celebrities, fashion photographers, as well as media, advertising, and PR firms, among others) to raise public awareness and funds for the breast cancer cause, in the U.S. and internationally.
The Breast cancer Research Foundation's mission is to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime by providing critical funding for innovative clinical and translational research at leading medical centers worldwide, and increasing public awareness about good breast health. Currently, over 90 cents of every dollar donated goes to research and awareness programs.
Bra-ha-ha® is an artistic, high profile, community-centered celebration that confronts the barriers that hinder access to the early detection of and treatment for diseases of the breast and positively affects the emotional security of patients and their families. When it comes to fighting breast cancer, there's rarely much to smile about - until now. "A Seriously Uplifting Experience," Bra-ha-ha® brings together people of all walks of life - everyone from men, women and children to seniors and major international fashion designers - to decorate bras in some of the most creative, hilarious and eye-catching ways imaginable. Each bra tells a story of hope, perseverance and support. The bras are assembled in an art exhibit so communities can celebrate the stories, the survivors and the spirit of those working to promote breast health.
These are all worthwhile organizations that are trying to make a positive difference in the life of someone who may be battling this disease. It is up to each of us to get the word out and support these and such organizations. I'm not going to advertise that "if you purchase this product, I will donate...." frankly because that just seems like a cheap way to exploit the issue. I hope that you will shop at www.naughtyandnicelingerie.com because I don't need to tell you I am doing it, I just do.
At Naughty and Nice Lingerie, it's not just about the mood, it's also about the attitude!
