A Peek at Women's Underwear
There is a current presentation displaying vintage lingerie at the Albany Regional Museum in Albany, OR. The exhibit features the history of women's underclothing, with a display of some delicates from their collection. They want you to discover Albany's Secret. I haven't found out when the exhibit is over, but the website shows it as current at this point. The admission to the museum is free, so check out the website at http://www.armuseum.com/index.htm

Most of us have been there..that embarrassing and uncomfortable feeling of your thighs rubbing together (aka Chub Rub) during a hot (or any weather) day? I love wearing dresses, but hate to worry about the chafing. Even with the anti-chaffing creams out now from Lanacane and other companies, it's a temporary fix..who wants to worry about carrying the cream in their purse or reapplying when needed??
Thigh Society is an underwear solution. What makes Thigh Society underwear better than its alternative, bicycle shorts, is that it can be worn comfortably in all seasons, during pregnancy, and even while sleeping. Its seam free construction means it won’t show under clothing and the fabric is breathable, soft and lightweight (bicycle shorts are constricting, sweaty, and show through clothes).
Marnie Consky, the creator of Thigh Society suffered for years from this problem. She spent years developing a sleek, chic solution which could be undetectable when worn every day under any kind of clothing.
This is her story:
I love to wear skirts, especially in the summer, but with the heat and humidity, my inner thighs rub together and the resulting rash is UNBEARABLE. I’ve tried it all:
Bicycle shorts don’t solve the problem. High spandex waists bunch up and need to be folded over, the material is too thick, and without a gusset, panties need to be worn underneath.
Shaping garments are out of the question – who wants to be squeezed into tight shorts all day that don’t breathe?!
Powders, creams and gels help for a while, but have to be carried around and re-applied throughout the day (and they don’t fit in a cute purse!).
One day I finally got up the courage to ask my girlfriends if they had similar problems, and a great many of them did, with no real fix. So I decided to create my own!
After testing many prototypes on myself and women of all shapes and sizes, I created what I think is the best solution: a super soft, lightweight and breathable panty for women looking for inner thigh coverage. This simple underwear works like a dream to eliminate “chub rub” for good!
You can wear Thigh Society to work, around the house, on the run, biking, travelling, shopping – even sleeping.
